|Q: I'm fermenting cows milk, how much of the original batch of kefir do I need to add to the new milk to make a new batch and how long does it take?|
|A: You can use around 50ml of the first batch of milk kefir on the transfer, the more you use the stronger the kefir will be and quicker it will ferment. The fermentation time is also dependant on the time of the year and temperature of the room. There are no real rules when dealing with nature, sometimes a batch can ferment quicker than other times, you can check on the batch and look and smell how the ferment is getting on. The longer you leave it fermenting, the stronger it will taste and thicker it will be. A good guide would be 24 hours, if the room temperature is very warm, 12 hours would be the guide time.|

The best Young Green Coconut Water to use is either from a fresh green coconut or La Maison Organic Coconut Water, which doesn't contain added Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Do not use brands of Coconut water with added Vitamin C, as this natural preservative will prevent fermentation.
