Cocobiotic contains healthy fermented grains which provide a fuel together with the sugars in the coconut water for the probiotic bacteria to feed on. All the sugars are consumed as part of the Ferm Flora natural organic fermentation process.

The fermentation process used in making Cocobiotic breaks down the gluten content of the grains, which are used as a prebiotic to feed the beneficial bacteria. In Laboratory tests Cocobiotic was shown to be completely gluten free, making it suitable for those with gluten sensitivities.
