Brown Basmati rice has been used in India and Pakistan for thousands of years. With it’s wonderful aroma and nut like flavour, brown basmati rice is a great addition to lots of dishes but is especially good in curries.
Unlike white rice, Brown Basmati Rice has only the outer husk removed, retaining most of it’s nutritional value including the B-vitamins, iron, selenium and fibre.

Brown Basmati Rice is best soaked in water overnight to make it more digestible, and rinsed thoroughly before cooking.
To cook, add 1 cup of Brown Basmati Rice to 2 cups of water, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Great with chopped basil, diced tomatoes, virgin olive oil and Himalayan crystal salt.
